Wow! What a difference a week can make!
This week a great friend came down from Reno and spent the last week helping me get stuff done.
It helped a lot that he is really tall, so reaching all that stuff on the second floor was easy for him.
Doesn't it look amazing? I have some small things like trim to add, and one window in the storage loft that can wait. I am really beat, but oh so happy! The next post will have more pictures and a look at some inside work done too!

Framing!
Buckled down and got my composting toilet framed in...
And got the wall up for the shower too!
If you look to the right inside the tub, you will see two white tanks. Those are my water tanks! So the tub will be raised up to accommodate one underneath (I'm still short enough to stand in it and shower) with room for the drain plumbing. The other will go somewhere else, not quite sure exactly where.
Moving Forward at full speed!

Wind and Rain
Moving forward with a small detour:)
Had some trees go down in the wind and rain, so......
Had some trees go down in the wind and rain, so......
Had to do chainsawing
Both front and back yards...
Cut some slices for my Daughter.
Then got rid of 500 vinyl LP's.
So, I feel good even though I haven't worked on my THOW the last few days.

Insulated!
Got the first 3 inches of insulation in, will put the rest in place after the plumbing and electrical are in!
See how bright it is with all the downstairs windows in!
Extra insulation in the storage loft.
Now, onward to interior walls!
After I get my truck out of the shop:(

Full Speed Ahead!
My Darling Daughter came by and helped me install my last three downstairs windows! Hooray!!
Both sides now have two, the back has 2 , one downstairs and one in the sleeping loft.
So now I can finally start on the final interior layout downstairs!
Still have 5 upstair windows to go in, but I'm happy to have forward movement!

Bath Tub
Progress moves ever onward. For my area, the latest sign of that is the opening of our very own Tractor Supply Co. Store!
Perfect timing for me:) I was looking for what I wanted to use as a tub and shower base. Needing room to put a shower chair inside, I was looking at a few options.
I was lucky enough to be invited to a pre-opening event with a $25 off coupon...and I found this!
Perfect! Manager Hall Aiken and all his staff are friendly, knowledgeable and quick to offer help.
Of course, the store is chock full of things that could be very useful for a THOW builder!
One more step forward for me and for our little valley:)

Illumination
Light! How important is light? Everything we do requires Light, either natural or artificial. How we get that light can effect our mood and our health.
Downsizing and living healthy, sustainably, also means doing what I can to keep me healthy. How does Light fit in there?
Well, Meet ilumi.

Well, Meet ilumi.
I found ilumi on a crowd funding site months ago. It is a smart led bulb, with many features, that connects to your smart phone by bluetooth.
What attracted me was the "circadian" feature. It sets the color of the light based on time of day, so that the light doesn't interfere with your bodies circadian rhythms. A bonus is that I never have to enter a dark house!
I can turn my one lamp (only one needed in my THOW) from my car, from the front gate or, for now, from the front door of my Big House! You can see the Christmas lights on the "Big House" reflected in the camera lense, that tells you how close they are at the moment.
You can get your own ilumi bulb now at Best Buy!
A Merry Christmas to All and to All a good Night, Tiny Style:)
